Monolith Industries Limited (Formerly Monolith Investment Company Limited)was incorporated on 24th February, 1978. The companys beginnings were humble. A leased office at 4, Jivraj Nagar, Near Shai Baugh Railway Crossing, Ahmedabad (Gujarat) was the centre of the companys existence. It also carried out its business operations through its erstwhile Corporate office at 4, India Exchange Place, Kolkata.With a complete change in directorship of the company in 2003, the companys operations were expanded from its existing business of investment and financing of industrial enterprises and briefly entered into the manufacturing and trading of electrical goods and components. Thereafter, on account of bleak commercial prospects of the new line, the company gradually shifted its focus to providing land space for advertisement and hoarding on a commission basis. The company now carries on its business operations through its Registered Office at B-103, Century Tower at Bodakdev, Ahmedabad and its Corporate Office located at 1-B, Black Burn Lane, Kolkata.The approval of shareholders by way of requisite majority at the 37th AGM held on 21st September, 2015 has allowed the Company to explore the areas of e-commerce and infrastructure as well as theirallied sectors.The Companyhas accordingly made requisite additions to its Main Objects in the Memorandum of Association to give effect to the same. The Certificate of Registration of Special Resolution for Alteration of Main Objects has been obtained from ROC, Ahmedabad in respect of this matter.
