Umang is a collective of self-help groups and producer shareholders in the Himalayas. Its area of operations are primarily centered in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Umang is engaged in promoting sustainable livelihood activities. Umang organises and builds upon the capacities of producer -groups and services the entire value chain from business to customers. Umang markets a range of food preserves (jams, jellies, chutneys and pickles), a number of organic farm produce (spices, rice, lentils and other local produce), hand-knitted woolens and handicrafts. Umang supplies the above products across India.
