Director’s Brief Profile Promotor started his carrier as a Medical Representative in 1988. After 5 years of field experience, took promotion and got transferred to Head Office as Sale Promotion Executive in Marketing Department in Mumbai. With in a short period he got posted as Product Manager in one of the leading Pharmaceutical Companys. During the period 1993 to 1999, he got the opportunity to visit major cities of India, during his tenure in Marketing Team of Biochem Pharmaceuticals Ltd and CFL Pharmaceuticals. He resigned from the post of Product Manager in October 1999 to join family business. FAMILY BUSSINESS In 1980, Mr Ganapati R Dhantal, the patriarch of Dhantal Beedi Works, started his beedi manufacturing business with a meager sum of Rs 5000/- only, at Jogeshwari, Mumbai. There was a steady growth in the sales of his ‘registered brand’ namely “ SAATH CHAP ( No 7 ) FARMASH BEEDI”, year after year. Satisfied customers were ‘the agents’ in expanding the market to remote villages of Kutch District of Gujarat. To match the growing market demand for the product/brand, the beedi production in Mumbai was posing to be the bottle neck due to migration of ‘beedi rolling community’, Mr Ganapati R Dhantal began beedi manufacturing unit at his native village Donkal, District Nizamabad, In April 2014, Mr Ganapati R Dhantal, the patriarch of Dhantal Beedi Works transferred the entire business to Mr Prabhakar G Chantal, the promoter, by way of GIFT DEED, thereby fresh licenses for the firm Dhantal Beedi Works with Mr Prabhakar G Dhantal as proprietor were in place. 2014-2015 half yearly sales indicate a growth in sales by 25 to 30 %. With many government restrictions on tobacco and tobacco products, the promotor decided to diversify into food business.
